Warriors signs Apollobet as official betting partner
Super League team Wigan Warriors has announced online bookmaker Apollobet as the club's official betting partner.
As well as offering an online betting service for the rugby league team's supporters and matchday concourse betting at the 25,000-capacity DW Stadium, the Apollobet brand will also feature on the sleeve of Wigan's playing kits for the duration of the 2012 Super League season.
Financial terms were not released, however, based on agreements of a similar nature Apollobet's one-year commitment to Wigan Warrios is estimated to be worth US$75,000.
"We are delighted to welcome Apollobet as the club's official betting partner for this season," said Wigan Warriors sales director Geoff Warburton. "It is always extremely pleasing to be able to attract new companies to be associated with the Wigan Warriors club brand and we look forward to welcoming the management and staff to the DW Stadium throughout the year."
Apollobet sportsbook director Chris Calderbank added, "We are delighted to have secured sponsorship with Wigan Warriors for the 2012 season. It was an easy choice for us to sponsor Wigan as the club has a worldwide following and the supporters are amongst the most passionate in the game. We aim to provide a unique betting service for the fans covering all aspects of rugby league both domestic and international. Apollobet is looking forward to building a long lasting relationship with the Warriors for many years to come."
