Sponsors line up for 58th Macau Grand Prix
The Macau Grand Prix Committee has announced a string of sponsorship deals ahead of the 58th Macau Grand Prix in November, which will see all seven races in the event title sponsored for the first time in its history.
The first of the deals sees casino operator Sociedade de Jogos de Macau (SJM) become the official sponsor of the whole event, in addition to title sponsoring the Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix and the Guia Race, which comprises the final two rounds of the FIA World Touring Car Championship (FIA WTCC).
City of Dreams, a Melco Crown Entertainment-owned casino located in Macau, will title sponsor the Motorcycle Grand Prix, while the event’s GT race will be titled the Star River Windsor Arch Macau GT Cup, after a deal was struck with development company Empresa de Desenvolvimento Predial Vitoria.
Transport solutions company Suncity Group will lend its name to the Macau Road Sport Challenge for the first time, while Hotel Fortuna and CTM both return to title sponsor the MAC/HKG Interport Race and Touring Car Cup respectively.
Additionally, tyre manufacturer Yokohama will again be the official Formula 3 and FIA WTCC tyre supplier at the event, and V.W.M. Motors Limited the official safety and rescue cars supplier, providing rescue personnel and officials with high-performance Volkswagen vehicles.
This year’s Macau Grand Prix runs from 17th to 20th November.
