Gold Coast 600 appoints offical vehicle supplier
The Gold Coast Audi Centre has agreed to sponsor the Armor All Gold Coast 600, the third endurance event for the 2010 V8 Supercar Championship series.
Under terms of the Centre's new role as the official vehicle supplier to round 11 of the V8 Supercar series, the Gold Coast branch of Audi will be supplying a range of cars including an R8 Spyder course car, a RS5 safety car, two official event vehicles and four VIP transfer vehicles.
Additionally the Gold Coast Audi Centre will provide 35 A5 cabriolets for the official driver parade.
Audi Centre Gold Coast dealer principal, Brett Frizelle, said, “As a Gold Coast company we are delighted for Audi Centre Gold Coast to be the official vehicle supplier of the event and be a part of something very special. I think seeing 18 of the world's best drivers, mixed with Australia's own V8 Supercar stars in the back of 35 A5 cabriolets on the parade lap around one of the world's most spectacular street circuits is going to be a proud moment for everyone involved."
V8 Supercars chief executive officer, Martin Whitaker, said, “This is the type of partnership that will fast track the Armor All Gold Coast 600 in becoming one of the world’s greatest motorsport events.“I think partnerships like these will make people understand just how big this event is going to be and what an important part of the Australian sporting landscape and world motorsport schedule it will become."
Our team has worked tirelessly to regain the confidence of the Gold Coast public and business community and I think today’s announcement with Audi Centre Gold Coast shows that we are starting to get our message across on how big this event will be and what a tremendous future it has," Whitaker added.
