Brisbane Roar gain traction in new sponsorship
Hyundai A-League soccer club Brisbane Roar has confirmed that the Chinese tyre company Linglong Tyres will be one of the club's sponsors for the upcoming 2010/11 season.
Under terms of the new deal, estimated to be worth US$90,000, the logo of the fastest growing tyre company in the world will feature on the front of the club’s playing shorts.
Brisbane Roar chief executive officer, Peter McLennan, said, "This is a major vote of confidence in the direction the club is heading. Both on and off the field we are speaking to be a stable and successful club, a club which our fans and all of Brisbane can be proud of.
"Given the current tough economic conditions, we are delighted Linglong have committed to Brisbane Roar and we look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship," McLennan added.
Linglong managing director, Feng Wang, said, "Linglong tyres is excited about our partnership with Brisbane Roar and we are proud to showcase our international tyre brand in the Hyundai A-League."
Brisbane finished the 2009/10 A-League season 9th.
