Boeing signs golfer Ernie Els
Legendary golfer Ernie Els has become the first ever athlete endorser of aircraft giant Boeing.
The Chicago-based firm signed the South African to a long-term deal prior to last week’s US Open, in which Els placed ninth, according to Danny Ecker of Crain’s Chicago Business.
While exact terms have not been released, Ecker reported that Boeing will receive “some nice airtime on the golfer’s sweater” during competitions.
Boeing confirmed the partnership via Twitter. On Sunday 17th June, the firm tweeted: 'Boeing is a proud partner of pro golf champ @ErnieElsPGA. Good luck in final round today of @usopengolf!'
