Jimmy Joyce steps down as Cricket Ireland president
Arthur Vincent is to serve as acting president of Cricket Ireland until 2013.
Vincent, who was last in the role in 2009, will step in to replace Jimmy Joyce, who has resigned with immediate effect for family reasons. President-elect Robin Walsh will take over as planned next year.
Cricket Ireland chairman Ross McCullum said: "I am aware of the great difficulty that Jimmy Joyce had in making this decision and he can be assured that he has the utmost respect and support of everyone involved with Cricket Ireland. Arthur Vincent has agreed to fill the vacancy for the remainder of Jimmy’s term and our sincere thanks and gratitude must go to him for taking on what has become a very time-consuming role at such short notice."
